Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers rooms with views across the hospital section of the complex and a nice view of the river. Although our room wasn't serviced until late afternoon, the standard room facing the car park and hills was satisfactory. The location provides access to gardens by the Clyde, but it's a bit out of the city and above party rooms/bar area, making it less suitable for a holiday stay.
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The room was larger than the regular twin bedrooms, spacious, and spotlessly clean, although a bit dated with peeling wallpaper at the windows. The limited river view from the 2nd floor was a minor drawback. The service from all staff members was excellent, friendly, and helpful. The location was ideal and easy to find near Glasgow airport and the canal, but outside the hotel was not particularly inviting. Dining was okay but not worth the price, although the self-service offerings were good. Overall, a good value for money stay.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The large rooms provided some respite after a room change due to a faulty air conditioning unit, allowing me to finally get some rest, but the location was not ideal, being a bit far from the city action and with safety concerns. The service was friendly and helpful, although the dining options were slightly limited. Overall, it was a place with both positives and negatives to consider.
